Breaking News
I have been told that the CRC just filed an appeal with the state school board, trying to block the new sex-ed curriculum.
The people who actually live in this county are happy with the curriculum, elected people who support it by a landslide. The school board adopted it unanimously.
Looks like the suers are going to try to get the state to tell the county what kind of curriculum they should teach.
I'll let you know what's up as I find out.

Excerpt from CRC filing: "Efforts of Dr. Jacobs, Mr. Sprigg, and Ms. Faustino to make contributions to the CAC or to find a response to their views from the MCPS Board and MCPS Supervisor were ineffective as shown in those affidavits."
Oh man, I guess majority votes are to be ignored and the three above in minority votes should have carried the day.
Replay of last CAC group when Retta and company tried to say the same lame thing.

i am intrigued by CRC's decision to pursue this administrative remedy rather than file in federal ct as in '05, which i take to mean that they find the latter course less encouraging than the former. did they pursue a stay w/grasmick last time? btw, the appeal itself is full of nonsense and factual errors and/or misrepresentations.
Could it be that if they strike out now, they can still try in court later?

This is funny considering the whining Jim does in the next post.
Just breaking it down for you, man.
