Vote Today - And Watch for Shower-Nuts

The Maryland primaries this year matter. Lots of times it's a done deal by the time we get a chance to vote, but this year it's still close in both parties.

And do us a favor, okay? The shower-nuts are gearing up to use the election to get signatures for their petitions. They plan to stand outside the polling-places telling people that the new nondiscrimination bill will let creepy perverted men go into the ladies rooms, so they'll sign a petition to put this up for referendum in the fall.

First of all, obviously, don't sign their petitions. And if you have time, hang around and explain to people what's going on.

Second, if this is happening where you vote, will you please tell us? Send an email to info@teachthefacts.org , telling us where you saw them. There are about three hundred polling places, so nobody's going to go around checking every one, but if you'll tell us, we can forward the information to someone and maybe get a response happening.

The most important thing: get out there and vote. Even if you're one of those Citizens for a Responsible Whatever and you're sure you're right about everything and that everybody agrees with you, go ahead and cast your vote along with your hundreds of thousands of supporters. This is your chance to take over the world legitimately, instead of lying, suing, complaining, and nagging everybody to death.

Again: vote.

They have a point. That could be a (hopefully) unintended consequence of the legislation.

No, they don't have a point. Such things have never happened in those jurisdictions that have anti-discimination laws protecting people on the basis of gender identity. The shower nuts are dishonestly characterizing the law as something it is not to cover their true agenda of hate and discrimination. They know they can't sell their discrimination agenda so they lie about what the law is about.

Just like that horrible unintended consequence of nursery schools, elementary schools, and Sunday schools, etc., being forced to hire persons with turrets syndrome - people who swear and bark without warning.

Why, there must be thousands of lawsuits and examples of these schools having gone out of business in Montgomery County because of the anti-discrimination legislation that protects those with disabilities.

I had a bit of a run-in with one of the Original 17 of the CRC at Carderock Springs this morning. Just so you know, they are framing this as an anti-discrimination petition, snowing older folks who want to sign up AGAINST discrimination into signing FOR it.

The usual line is, "All we want is to stop perverts from going into the women's and children's bathrooms." When I told her all she ever had to do was petition her Council just like everyone else, instead of sending representatives to the Council to lie and misrepresent, she had no response. And when I told her that I was insulted that she was calling me mentally ill, she said but that's what you are. When I asked her who she thought she was to make that diagnosis, "Are you a physician," she shut up.

And in a discussion with the election judge she continually referred to me as "he." Typical Rovial tactics. Interestingly, I met her husband who started off like her but asked rational questions and was greatly mollified by the time he left. As I was leaving that poll in the hands of another of our volunteers, I asked her, "What is really bothering you that you would waste your time on something that has never happened, and that you know never will?" Again, no answer.

Yeah, they tend not to be able to hold intelligent conversation, Dana. I, myself, had a run in and they don't know how to think for themselves. We are not proud to have those kinds of people in our Christian faith. It's embarrassing to us real Christians.

really, teacher man...

What run in are you referring to ? when you yelled "burn, baby, burn" in the face of one of my volunteers who was trying her best to simply not engage....

Is THAT your view of an intelligent conversation ?

Just curious.

So, is that what you do, Theresa? Teach your volunteers to simply not engage with people? I hardly see that as an effective way of getting people to believe your lies. I guess we will see how many people actually 'believed' your lies once those petition signatures are actually validated.

Theresa your "volunteer" trying to "simply not engage" is a rather shameful display. People who want to do the right thing are willing to engage and consider that they may be doing the wrong thing. That's the problem with you and your volunteers - your minds are closed, you're not willing to look at the evidence that what you are doing is wrong.

No shower nuts at my poll- they wouldn't dare. Even my "advesary" during the long freezing day(GOODBYE, MR.WYNN!) would not tolerate hatred and bigotry. He didn't fight for the US to support that crap. He explained to me why conservatives(yes, a Republican for Wynn- his true constituents) don't like McCain. So we had that in common.

Citizens for a Responsible Government endorses Rob Seubert for the School Board at Large Race.

Rob Seubert got the least votes of any candidate in the At Large BOE race, less than 7%.

The results are final. In the first chance the voters have had to speak since the implementation of gay advocacy in the MCPS school system, MCEA and TTF favorite, Alies Muskin, was defeated. Muskin has been an ardent supporter of TTF from its inception. It's been a while since a school board candidate endorsed by the teachers' union has lost. The connection with offensive gay curriculum is undeniable.

Meanwhile, Tommy Le, who was being dissed by TTF last week came in second and will go on the ballot in November.

The backlash has begun. The referendum goes on.

Your contention that "The connection with offensive gay curriculum is undeniable" is ludicrous! The curriculum was NOT an issue in the Board campaign. It's just your vivid, child-like wishful-thinking imagination at work here.
No doubt, now that Mr. Seubert has been soundly defeated, you and your cohorts at CRC(or whatever you are today) will support Le, as he appears to be the most angry, bitter, illogical, and discredited candidate in the race and is the one who most vividly represents your agenda.

Theresa has denounced tha strange people in Westboro whenever they have been brought up by TTFers, which is frequently.

Your attempt to associate her with them is an inflammatory lie by a person without integrity.

Have you guys heard about the latest from Britain? Last Thursday, the Archbishop of Canterbury gave a speech calling for "constructive accomodation" with Islamic law and said the "incorporation" of sharia into the British legal system is "unavoidable".

Britain, where the Christian influence is now nothing more than an historic tourist attraction is a textbook example of where secularism leads. It is not sustainable. This is probably the explanation for the recent remarks of Richard Dawkins that he affirms a Christian culture.

Gays need to wake up. Materialist secularism doesn't survive long. A Christian society will tolerate you. An Islamic fundamentalist one will behead you. Take a tip from Dawkins and support our religious heritage.

Yesterday evening, Mr. Teacher Man reported that he and his fiancé and a transgender friend had voted and had seen no sign of the CRW lackeys (Theresa's very own volunteers). Today Theresa accuses Mr. Teacher Man of screaming at "her" volunteer.

Could Theresa possibly be mistaken? I am sure that the alleged screaming person was wearing a large name tag that said, "Hello, my name is Mr. Teacher Man," and that the volunteer could clearly hear (from her legal distance from the voting room) the screamer identify himself to the election judges as "Mr. Teacher Man." So how could Theresa's accusation be false, incorrect or off base?

We are all so used to Theresa's being right - I feel a bit shaken.

TTF has not endorsed any candidates for office.

The CRG endorsed candidate came in dead last yesterday with just over 6% of the vote, proving once and for that CRG represents a radical fringe element here in MoCo.

Red Baron, Dawkins never "affirmed" the Christian religion, he merely stated that this is part of his cultural background. In no way does Dawkins believe in the christian religion. And as far as Christianity tolerating LGBTs, we are not going to accept the lesser of two evils when we can have a secular society that doesn't make us second class citizens. As we've discussed higher levels of religiosity are correlated with higher levels of social dysfucntion. The societies with the greatest social well being are the least religious and these societies continue to grow and will dominiate in the future.

So CRG did not post an endorsement until the day before the election. Last time we endorsed Tommy Le. Family Leader endorsed Tommy Le. And we told folks to write in Tommy Le on another race...

We have, however, had the anti-apple ballot stuff up for a long time.

And the apple ballot candidate lost.

Good morning, Theresa! No sleep for the wicked again last night I see.

In 2006 your fringe group endorsed Tommy Le he didn't place. This time, in 2008, CRW(ackos) endorsed Seubert and he didn't place. In fact, he came in dead last, just like your endorsement.

Do you see the pattern here?

And yeah, the single apple ballot candidate lost and so did 2 incumbents. In case you hadn't noticed, CHANGE is in the air. Muskin's and Kauffman's positions on the sex education curriculum are identical. That's why several organizations supported both Muskin and Kauffman, their positions are similar on most things. Kauffman beat Le by 9 points in the primary. The spread will be even wider in the general election in November.

The Phelps clan of Wesboro has MORE integrity than the CRW, they don't attempt to hide their hatred.

They are also less hypocritical, as they also condemn the adultery of remarriage and the hypocrisy of Christian supremacists for not doing likewise.

So naturally Theresa would denounce them, they're not dishonest or hypocritical enough for her.

If there’s a connection, it’s with the lies about the curriculum, not the truth of it. Like your lies above stating that it is a "gay curriculum."

In addition, the CRW and ilk of your kind, Anon, have the advantage of ends-justifies-the-means moral relativism.

Lying to achieve victory is the same as stealing.
