WOW -- Dr. Ruth Jacobs' testimony was FABULOUS!!!!

Someone should let Ruth know that AIDS is caused by a virus, not by two gay men having sex.
Two gay married men could have sex all day long and they would never get AIDS, unless one of them was already infected.
In Germany, a 26-year old pop star (Nadja Benaissa) was arrested for allegedly infecting 3 men with HIV.

It would be a sad irony if all the focus put on AIDS and gay sex by the homophobe agenda folks resulted in young people thinking that AIDS is just a “gay” disease, and it spread further in the hetero community.

Too bad Ruth Jacobs has never been married, especiallly married to a gay person trying to live as a straight person. If she had more direct knowledge about the harm living in the closet causes marriages -- to unsuspecting spouses and children -- she'd support marriage equality.
There's an interesting article in today's WaPo A quiet voice for gay marriage: Legalization could avert doomed relationships, straight ex-spouses say, that reports:

They are federal workers and professionals, men and women who share little except that their former spouses tried to live as heterosexuals but at some point realized they could not.

I noticed that too, Aunt Bea. What an appropriate "misstatement."

She didn't do a terrific job with her testimony against the DC same-sex marriage bill. The committee that heard her testimony approved the bill today. The DC Council will take it up next month.
"A DC Council Committee voted 4 to 1 this afternoon to send a bill legalizing same-sex marriage to the full council for debate.
Council member Phil Mendelson, chairman of the Committee on Public Safety and Judiciary, said the legislation was "both simple and monumental."
With the committee vote, the full council will take up the bill in early December. It is expected to easily pass.
"We will get this to the mayor and Congress and it will become law," said Council member Jack Evans (D-Ward 2).
Council member Yvette Alexander (D-ward 7) was the only member to vote against the bill in committee."
